Lee's music journey

Influenced by classical composers such as Bach, Brahms, Strauss, and Stravinsky, as well as contemporary film composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, Tan Dun, and Joe Hisaishi. Lee’s music exhibits a musical style blending Asian ethnic music and western orchestral instrumentation.

Lee obtained his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Film Music Composition under Dr. Kenneth Frazelle, Lawrence Dillon, Cristina Trinity Vélez-Justo and Christopher Heckman's instruction.

As a self-taught composer, Lee learned most of the knowledge about digital music technology through the Internet, including how to operate a DAW, mixing audios and mastering the final production. Besides, in order to enhance his skills of composition, Lee spent one year undergo formal training with Professor, Mr. Cheng Chien Wen, for harmonics, analysis of music form, and voice leading. Asides from composition, he also embarked on a personal journey of musical performances including playing the cello and conducting orchestras since Mid-school.
